With all the incidences of theft and crime you’ve been hearing and reading about lately, you’re probably wondering how the crime stats Richmond 2025 stack up to what was happening a year before that. As you may well know, at Amalgamated Locksmith Richmond, we do our best to keep our clients in the loop by releasing the crime stats on a yearly basis.
About Richmond
If you love your footy and your culinary tastes cover a wide range of cuisines, then Richmond is the place to be. While there are still reminders of the suburb’s early beginnings, like the Bryant and May factory and the Skipping Girl sign, much of Richmond has seen massive change over the past number of years. Gone is the once-popular discount store Dimmeys, which is now an apartment block and supermarket.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground, the home of the Richmond Football Club, is just on the outskirts on Punt Road. For lovers of other sporting events, the tennis centre and AAMI Park aren’t that far away either.
Take a stroll along Swan Street, and you’ll be transported around the world by the delectable offerings of the many eateries and high-class restaurants. For something a little more cheap and cheerful, Victoria Street offers a vast range of Vietnamese cuisine to tantalise your palate.

Apart from the rise in thefts, robberies, and burglaries, these stats don’t appear to be that worrying. However, the increase in burglaries may well be of concern to residents and business owners. It’s a trend that’s evident around many neighbouring suburbs as well, which is why many people are now investing in electronic security and smart door locks.
