Victorians and Crime Concerns
It was recently reported by the RACV that crime was down across Victoria and yet Victorians were still concerned about crime in their local area, the main concerns amongst Victorians were drug-related crimes, graffiti and vandalism.
Some interesting information uncovered by the RACV research was:
- 39 per cent of burglaries are through a forced or broken window or door.
- 64 per cent of aggravated burglaries happened between 8 pm and 5 am.
- 35 per cent of non-aggravated burglaries happened between 8 am and 1 pm.
