Fitzroy recorded a 17% increase in theft offences from 2015-2016, going from 1049 thefts to 1230 last year. This is much higher than in nearby Collingwood, where the total theft rate in 2016 was 932.

Overall drug offences are on the increase in Fitzroy, with 93 offences in 2012 leaping to 144 in 2016. That’s an increase of about 35% over five years.
